Coffee maker gives options but won't make coffee

I'm stuck trying to make coffee on my new maker. It gives options but when I press it doesn't register with any of them. I can't complete the quest until I make double shot. Do I have to buy coffee or something? Help me please.

You might need to turn the coffee maker around so the green arrow points outward and make sure there is nothing blocking your sims path to it.
