Daily Task: Toddler Play Xylophone?

Just curious .. Could you try it with a baby?

Well my current issue is yes, you could do this task with a baby Sim but I can't "Move On" any of my senior Sims to make room for a baby Sim 🥴😠

I’m sure a baby would work, but I don’t have a baby currently. Why am I getting daily tasks for something I don’t have? Probably because this daily task says “toddler” on it, which I do have. Obviously that’s a bug though, and it’s going to mess up my daily streak because I’m sure EA won’t fix this issue today.

The weekly tasks could always include anything that’s unlocked in the game. No matter, whether you had built a required location, or have a Sim of a  certain age group in your town. But those tasks could be skipped right away, so it wasn’t too bad.    
   
Now we can’t skip the tasks and there’s a deadline. Hope, you and other players who ran in this or similar issues, get some compensation!   
  
Btw. If it’s not just the wording - toddler instead of baby - the task may still not count as completed if a baby did the task.

Exactly, it would be one thing if it could just be skipped but that’s not even an option.

Hello, I already posted about this as well and messaged them in the in-game chat – it's so annoying! I usually age up my babies/toddlers as soon as I can, as you can't use them for the other events of the updates (SimChase, Craft Events, Influence Island). I'm right now losing the third streak because it's another toddler task and it's impossible to skip. They need to add the option to skip for LP, like before...! I'm also gutted I lost all of my XP – I still need to get from level 63 to 65 and I had collected close to 20M XP from playing over years. All gone now :(

I agree and hope the issues with the new daily/weekly tasks gets fixed or at least changed.

When you need to delete a senior but cannot, it’s very difficult to have a baby!! I’ve had that same issue!!

True that a toddler can not play the Xylophone 

But a baby can and it will count

with update 5.96.1 (Oct 21st, 2025) the daily will not give you tasks for age groups that are not in your town
