Houses increase in price

Every time I have enough simoleons, the house I want to build increases in price! What do I do???? This is very unfair gameplay.

If you have a new Sim move into a lot, the houses and community lots you have will increase in price.

I didn't do that. There were no additional sims or lots added to increase prices. It happens on its own.
