How do I get a Pet?

I dont know how to get a Pet cause I don't know and I don't know cause I got no pets and I just dont know that but I saw the other friend on party boat she have all pets in houses so she has the mysterious island But I dont have that in level 10 but... I am in Level 8 and well I don't know plus... I do not know how to get more money I am stuck with 1 thousand and I like to improve it. I need the simoleon sprout.

To get a pet you need to complete the quest "A quest for Toddlers"

The quest is unlocked at level 12. But be aware you must complete the quests before hand (eg. The sims getting married and having a baby).

Once you complete "A quest for Toddlers" you get 1 dog, and unlock the pet shop to buy more pets.
