I finished the baby bonus early

And I’m not getting the prize pack. The contest stayed open instead of going away like it usually does, so I started another pregnancy to see if that would make it recognize that it’s already been completed. Now I have a pregnant Sim that I don’t need and a very, very expensive newborn with the baby bonus but without any prizes. I’ve finished this early before, I didn’t use any top ups, & I used my own money, so I’m not getting the problem. If we’re going to be penalized for using our own money to finish early, then why even have the option?!
