Love and Treasure Quest

I need help if anyone is able. My town is at level 53 currently. I am at 91% on the Love and Treasure quest. For the past month or so I haven't been able to finish the quest because the game crashes every time I click on the island. Um unable to move forward at all because I'm unable to finish this quest. Can anyone help or have any options on what I can do. I've already reached out to EA and have gotten nowhere. I have also tried all troubleshooting options. I know this is a shot in the dark but this is my last stop before I just delete all my progress.

    Im back, I don't have enhanced lighting on. It's set to classic.

    Thank you for your response. I'm unsure if I'm using enhanced lighting . How do I find the setting to check? Also reached out to EA meant I contacted the online support and was literally told that they can't help me.

    Are you playing with enhanced lighting? Sometimes it helps if it’s switched off.  If this didn’t help, I’d download my game to a different device. If you don’t have one, a family member might help out with their’s.  When your town is on that device, try to enter the island and complete the quest.  Next would be to upload the game on that device, reinstall the game on the main device and download the save data.  
      If all this didn’t help, reach out to the Online Support within the game:    
    Tap the three dots at the bottom right, then info -> Online Support -> the square talk bubble at the upper right. It’s not a real time chat, so it may take a while until you get an answer. 
    (I’m not sure, what’s meant with “reached out to EA”, so you might have used that way already.)
