My Toddler is living alone

So I was marrying two Sims (a male, and a female with a daughter), and after I chose to the female live with the male, the toddler didn't move with them.

I tried relocating the household, even tho the child didn't even appear as member.

Didn't work. So I divorced the couple, and when I tried moving the mother away, this appeared:

I got to the point where I removed the husband from the town, but it still didn't work. I then recreated an identical husband and got them re-married again, and this time, I made him live in the wife's house. Still didn't work.

This is really frustrating and I can't get the toddler to live with her mother. All of this because I wanted their last name to be "Parker" (which was the husband's name, thats why I chose for them to live in his house, I was gonna relocate them later). The only way to fix it would be to remove the child from the town and make another one. But making a child costs time and LP, which I can't afford right now. I am awaiting for a fix to this bug. Looking at old forums, this bug has been around for a long time, 8 years to be exact. Maybe we could try fixing it now?

Sadly this is around for a very long time. Best solution would be, if the game wouldn’t allow to move a mother to her new husband. The name could be changed by using the ultimate make over for 2 LPs, but you don’t have many, yet.

Since you can’t remove the mother, the little one can’t be adopted by another family either. This would only work with an orphan.

For now you could whistle over the toddler to her mother’s new home, so she’d not be all alone. On level 17 you’ll complete the quest “Preparing for preteens” that enables you to age her up to a preteen, and on level 21 there’s a quest to age up preteens to teenagers. After completing that one, you can age her up to teenager and then move her in with her mother. Or the other way around, if the mother isn’t married again.

On level 22 you’ll need a teenager for another progression quest. So it would be good to stock up enough LPs for the birthday cakes.  E.g. you could have most of your Sims cooking in order to gain LPs, the toddler can possibly help by doing the playhouse hobby.

This would be my plan to continue without removing the toddler. Maybe, you could go continue this way, too?
