I have been playing Sims Freeplay since 2016 with the same account and have never been able to see ballet or karate as hobby options, despite having built the community centre years ago. My preteens are able to use the ballet and karate studios, but the hobby still does not show up. Has anyone else encountered this problem? I really want to be able to use that hobby, as I have progressed through the other preteen hobby options already.
Actually I said this in my first sentence.
“If you’re missing a collection cards, there haven’t ever been any.”
As far as I know, these were the first hobbies in the game, and collection cards have been introduced later with other ones. Not sure, if it was ghost hunting, fashion design or fishing. I did all three one or two months after I started playing SFP.
This is the hobby selection in my game. Like in your’s, there’s no choice for karate and ballet.
I had a closer look at these hobbies. Every time a preteen levels up, you get a popup, showing an amount for your town value. Except the very first time, because you get items unlocked.
You also see the level the preteens are on.
Thanks for your help, but that is unfortunately not the problem I’m experiencing. I have built the community centre, but the preteen hobbies associated with it will not show up at all, and when a preteen completes the action (karate or ballet), nothing shows up (I just get XP for the action and no collection card thingy).
If you’re missing a collection cards, there haven’t ever been any. While a preteen levels up the very first time, you get some hobby related Home Store items unlocked. Like the ones for karate in my screenshot. After that you get XP when you have another preteen doing these hobbies. Not sure, if you also get simoleons.
