How do you change the last name of the Sims? My two Sims got married and the guy took my female Sim last name and I wanted my female Sim to take my male Sim last name.

Do an "Extreme makeover" on the male sim (the one you wanted to have the last name)

Everyone in that house hold will get the new last name, including the wife

Hi! Is there a way to change a toddler’s last name now? I just renamed the husband, and the wife’s last name changed, but not the kids. So now they’re stuck with the ex’s last name 😩😂

When the toddler is not busy, tap the toddler and choose "ultimate make over" to change the name

I got it to work. After I edited the kids, it changed the fathers last name again and after I changed the fathers, it changed the kids and the wife’s back to normal 😂 just cost me a lot of LP’s lol. Thank you!

I know this is an old thread, but I had just finished reading this, and then I changed the last name of the male in my sims family household of 4. The dad’s and the 2 kids’ last names changed, but not the mom’s. I only did this because your thread said “Doing so will change the last name of all other Sims who live in the same household” but it didn’t. How do I fix this please?

Where the dad and mom married? 

I think they need to be married to change both adults name, not sure but probably 

otherwise it will only change the owner of the house and the children

It might have been different half a decade ago when this was stated

use 2 LPs for an ultimate makeover on the  woman

the price was lowered, as the game change over times
