Sims free play crashing after update last night. Person stuck in neighbors town.

Same problem here..can't visit neigbor town.....my pretty preteen is doing heavy pirouette exercise overthere....in fact she has ended the exercises for hours but she can't come home and I can't visit her either.. :-((

I got this from fire monkeys. I lost the other stuff I have done since the update, but have my sim back.

Unfortunately there is currently an issue present that will cause the Sims FreePlay to crash if you had a Sim visiting a neighbor at the time you updated to the Mysterious Island update.

If you were using social features previously (which you will have, if you have a Sim in another town and are experiencing this issue), your save data will have been uploaded to the Cloud the last time you used the Party Boat. To correct this issue, we recommend resetting your game by tapping the "Reset Game" button available in the options menu, then downloading your save data from the Cloud. Please have a look at this article if you need more information on how to restore your save data. You should not lose more than 24 hours worth of data.

If resetting your game and restoring your progress from the Cloud hasn't corrected the issue, please try uninstalling the game completely and re-installing it from the store before restoring your save data again.

I'm not happy with the solution for this problem. I had, in the past, more problems with saved data in the cloud ( or better, NO saved data although, when I saved the data everything was ok..) so I don't trust it all goes like you discribe it when I use the reset game button... I'm at level 41 now and I don't want to start again from level 1! So I decided to go on playing the game without my preteen stuck in the neigbortown. And ofcourse I hope, in the meanwhile, EA finds a good solution for this problem so with the next update the 'sim stuck in the neigborhood' problem is solved. :-)

I am having the same issues and just posted a question about it. I didn't set up my sim free play app to my iCloud so I don't even know what would happen if I clicked it. Depending on what they say I may just leave my person over there and keep playing the game but it would be nice to have this problem fixed.

Mine got stuck after the teen update. You do not have to reset your game! The neighbor were I was stuck was a Facebook friend. I logged out of Facebook in the option part that has the symbol that looks like the keyhole. Then closed my game and reset it (I have an iPad). When I reopened Sims I was at my neighbors place. It shut down right away. But when I went back and opened it, I was in my own town. I was then able to go to my neighbors place and retrieve my sims. Then logged back into Facebook and saved my game to the cloud.

I was able to whistle my sim back to his house.

Go to house in your city, bring up lost Sim and blow his whistle. This worked for me.

So,glad it worked out for you! Now back up!!! :-)
