Hi, I am currently level 9 and visited one of my neighbours for the first time. One of the social quests is to find a ghost in a neighbour's house between 8pm and 6am. They have coffin bookshelves but when I click on it there is no 'search for ghost' option. I read up on it and some places say you need to send a sim that already has the ghost searching hobby which you can only get by having haunted furniture yourself. I went to the store and there is nothing haunted there.
Now I am stuck in the middle of a chain of quests with no way of completing it by the looks of things.
Can anyone help?

It's frustrating have to forfeit weekly tasks, and lose speed bonuses on other missions.
Background: I'm on windows 8, never been able to hunt for ghosts and there's no haunted anything in any store.
Can anyone fix this recurring issue?
