Sims FreePlay not working on tablet

The Sims FreePlay app is not working on my tablet  When I want to start a new game, it loads but instead of letting me play the game, it brings me back to the page where you can click on the button to start a new game. It always brings me back to that page. It won't let me play the game.

I am using the Asus Memo Pad. Thank you so much for your help!

  • Did it ever work?  If so, when did it stop?

    A few things to try:

    1)

There was a weird bug some time ago, and I want to see if this workaround applies to you:

Before you start the game, turn off all data (Wifi).

    Start the game.

Wait until you get the "You need an internet connection" message.

Turn on wifi and click retry.

This was a bug that the a few Asus devices had and that got them going.  Apparently an update fixed the issue though.  Be interesting to see if the bug has reappeared in a different form.

    2)

If you haven't played the game yet and have no 'data' to save, try a full uninstall, reboot (Always a good idea to reboot when troubleshooting.  Clears the memory) and try reinstalling.
