Stuck. "Take a hard look in the Mirror"

Love & Treasure Quest – Stuck on “Take a Hard Look in the Mirror”

Hi,

My daughter is currently stuck on the Love & Treasure quest in The Sims FreePlay.

She has reached the “Take a Hard Look in the Mirror” step, after speaking with Wizard Wickham. When we tap the orange quest icon, the game directs us to the mirror, but interacting with it does not complete the task. We have tried several times and tried different mirrors, but nothing works.

Her game is currently only at Level 11.

I found previous reports of this issue and saw that some players were able to work around it by using the Villa Mirror from the Quaint Hedge House. Unfortunately, that house is not available to us yet because it requires a higher level.

At this point, she cannot progress any further in the quest.

Is there another workaround for lower-level players, or is there a way to reset or manually complete this particular quest step?

We are playing on Android.
