the sims freeplay app for windows phone

I have been playing the Sims free play since September 2014, and just about a month ago the app no longer opens. My device is the Nokia Lumia 521 windows 8 phone The app opens and appears to load, then abruptly closes on it's own. Please help the game first froze when I reached the seniors quest.
