I’m having the exact same login issue on my Samsung Galaxy S8+ running One UI version 1.0, Android version 9, Kernel version 4.4.111-22376662, let me add more detail to this report.
The game is updated to the latest version through the Play Store, but every time I try to log in with Facebook, it fails with the same error message. I’ve tested this on both my long-time main Facebook account and a brand-new one, but the result is identical. I also tried reinstalling, clearing cache, toubleshoot and other basic fixes, but nothing worked.
Interestingly, when I log into my dad’s older Samsung device, the game works without a problem. His version is the older “twin” build that still uses the Social Points system, while my phone has the new Sir Moleon’s Savings money system, so there's two versions of the latest updated version of the app. This difference makes me believe the issue is not account-related but caused by version/device compatibility, since the older build is still letting players sign in while the newer build fails. Could the EA team please look into this bug affecting android players on the updated rolled out build?
