Report: Several language inconsistency issues in the Marketplace
Hello, I’m writing this post to report several issues and inconsistencies related to the language displayed on the Marketplace pages, including the catalog, pack pages, and pack descriptions.
I play The Sims 4 in Brazilian Portuguese. However, after briefly checking social media, it appears that these issues may also be occurring in other languages.
In short, the Marketplace pages currently seem to display a mix of languages. Some parts of the interface and descriptions appear in English, while others are shown in the native language selected in the game.
Here are a few examples:
On the main page, where the Creator Pack covers are displayed, all pack names are currently being shown in English, even though they have localized names.
When we click on the covers to open the page for a specific pack, its information, including the name and the initial description, appears in the native language selected for the game. In my case, Brazilian Portuguese.
However, there is a small detail. When scrolling down the pack page, the feature description appears in English, even though it should be in my language, Brazilian Portuguese. Just below that, you can see that other pack information is correctly displayed in Portuguese.
Another detail that caught my attention is that on the main page where the pack covers are displayed, there is only one pack whose name is shown correctly in my game’s language (Brazilian Portuguese). That pack is “Soft Lines Living”, from Pierisim, which appears correctly localized in Portuguese as “Sala de Estar de Linha.”
And this is where things get even more curious. This is the only pack whose name appears correctly localized on the Marketplace cover page. However, when you open this pack’s page, its name and initial description are displayed in English. In other words, for this specific pack, the situation is the exact opposite of what happens with the others.
Still in the case of this pack, its feature description is correctly localized in my language. However, right after that, the additional information appears in English, again the opposite of what happens with the other packs.
------
In any case, I believe I’ve covered all the necessary details. The language display on the Marketplace currently appears to be inconsistent and not properly localized. Additionally, one of the packs seems to follow the reverse pattern of the issues described above, making the situation even more confusing.
If you could take a look into this, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
