Contact list

I noticed on Sunday that a sim I’ve interacted with for a while has disappeared from both of my sims’ contact list. The last time I interacted with this sim was about a week ago or two at the most. However, there are sims that I haven’t interacted with for over a couple of months and they’re still on each of my sims’ contact list. I also noticed that it isn’t just one sim that is missing from my contact list, but at least 3 that are missing. All 3 sims had plumbobs and are all of whom I’ve interacted within the last couple of weeks. I just updated the sims app but the sims are still missing from the contact list. One of the three sims are also listed on my “games friends” list and I’ve visited their house and I noticed that the sim missing from my contact list hasn’t retired.

I'm not sure how the contact list works. But did you start stories with these Sims? I could be it just deletes inactive friendships between Sims to create "space" and have less to back up to the cloud.

When you first start the game, pretty much anyone that you interact with will go onto the contact list. As time goes on, that stops happening. When you meet someone new, you’re given the option to save the sim to your contact list. That option is especially useful when you go to parties. Saving the sim to the contact list allows you to interact with that sim later on. As for your question, yes, I had relationships with all the sims. I actually realized that I’m missing more than 3 sims on my contact list. So far, I noticed I’m missing about 5 sims but there could be more. As just mentioned, I’ve recently interacted with those sims. I even remember giving one of them stickers some time last week. What I don’t understand is why are the sims, who I have relationships with and just recently interacted with, are disappearing from my contact list. Meanwhile, there are sims who I have not interacted with since I first started the game in June, and who are also listed only as acquaintances, are still on my contact list. I would assume that the sims that I haven’t interacted with for a longer amount of time and have no relationship with, would disappear first rather than the sims I have relationships with and just interacted with within the last two weeks.

Hi again. I just got invited to a party from one of my friends on the “game friends” list. As soon as I got to the party, I recognized one of the sims who live in that house and realized that both my sims had a relationship with that sim. However, when both of my sims interacted with that sim, I had to introduce myself like it was the first time we were ever interacting. That means that the relationships I had with the sims who disappeared from each of my sims’ contact list have deleted. As if it never happened. I would like an explanation as to why this is happening. Could this be a possible bug? I know you mentioned that it was possible that some relationships could have deleted because they were “inactive” and that space was trying to be created. As mentioned in my last two posts however, the relationships that deleted from my sims’ contact list WERE active. I had interacted with these sims within the last two weeks before they all disappeared from the contact list and around the town.
