How do I add a third playable Sim?

I'm on Level 17 and on "Intrepidly In-Vogue" lifestyle.

I have two open spots for a third Sim. One you have to pay 175 Sim Cash to unlock, and the other reads "Add third playable Sim to purchase." But how exactly? When I click the option nothing happens. What am I doing wrong or missing?

I have 143 Sim tickets and 12 Super Sim tickets.

    The two additional spots are for a potential third and fourth sim. So, if you click and spend 175 tickets you’ll have a third playable sim. After that, you’ll then get the option to purchase another (4th slot). Hope that makes sense.

    Ohhh, I have to buy the third one to unlock the fourth one. Duh. When I clicked the fourth head without the Sim cash pictured on it and it said "Add third playable Sim to purchase" I thought I could add that one. It means I have to add the *cash one* first. Makes sense. Thanks.

    The 4th sim slot costs 515 Simcash, by the way.

    yeah, when I saw how much the 4th one cost, I went "not gonna happen!"
