Married my sim but husband wont move in!

Recently i married my sim and hit level 8 relationship with the husband of my sim.. however i cannot seem to get him to move in. Hes not on the portrait and I have 2 slots free to either promote or create a sim!! I belive this is because the sim was player created (blue diamond?) but i really want to be able to access this sim... any tips?

If it is a player created sim, they have to approve the request to have him move in because the sim will move out of their house and into yours.  Many of us here on these forums solve the problem by talking here in advance and making sure that the owner/creator of the sim will give permission when we ask to marry their sim.  It works well and has led to all kinds of fun interactions here on the forums and at parties.

  • Yup, a sim with blue plumbob is controlled by another gamer, @fxkoff. You gotta wait until they approve your request, then you sim's husband can finally move in, however longer that can be. Aside from having a communication here, you can also try to go to the player's party once it's hosted and use the party chat option.

@fxkoff if the player who owns the sim will not give you permission to marry their sim, your only option is to do mean interactions so they break up. Than your sim can marry another. It's best not to use other player's Sims unless you discuss or trade Sims in the forum before you start a romantic relationship. You can also start relationships with NPC. These are game generated Sims and have no plumbob over their head and not owned by other players

@terogamusaudiHaz there are allot of players that won't give up their Sims. When you ask another player for their sim to move in, the original owner looses their sim. The  original owners sim may already be married in the original owners game too. it's best not to have romantic relationships with another player's sim unless it's discussed before the start of the relationship. See my post above this one which explains more.
