I just recently downloaded the Sims Mobile app on my iPhone 12 Pro Max. Everything was going fine until I hit level 6 and I was asked to "Change Player Name". I have been unable to move pass this screen despite any series of combinations I use, whether alphanumeric, numeric, alphabetical, or otherwise. Please advise.I have attempted to move to a different platform, such as my Samsung S20+ and I still experience the same issue.

Hi, finally I found a workaround to get rid of the buggy issue. You can try to input a super long name like agdjegfgjdj286jdhdnf33 to reach the maximum allowed length. Then magically the system accepts your name.

I managed to fix it after a gazillion attempts and quite a few mental breakdowns... i just typed randomly (and angrily) a combination of letters, numbers and symbols and only with SYMBOLS did it work. I think i typed something that contained #@ and then it let me move on to my game. Hope this helps, have fun

Hello i was coming here to say i have been having the same problem, i have tried every name i can think of and a bunch of random ones but nothing seems to work, it just always says invalid format so i need some assistance over here my fellow friend, brotha just wants to ball out on the sims, my player ID is "Easy Sasquatch 92" @EA_DragonsEye

Every time I try to enter my player name after advancing to level 6 in the mobile game, it pops up that the name is not the correct formatting. I have read through every forum on here and tried all the advice: closing and restarting the game, switching to 5G, restarting my phone, lots of combinations of names that are numbers and letters, just numbers, or just letters, just using "test," etc. I even deleted the game from my phone and logged back in and it's still happening.
Nothing I have tried has worked. I reached out to EA Help and they said they weren't able to help and directed me here. I'd like to be able to play!
