Same thing happens to me, and I stay bald when finished the career quests/jobs unless I use the shower or use the toilet. Also I'm now permanently stuck with Leia's hairstyle, cannot change it at all in closet...don't know if that's such a bad thing 😕
I have merged your posts with a bug report thread about this issue.
My Sims change back to Leia costume after they finish their career events if they interact with another Sim or an object.
Leia's 'hairstyle' is a hat. Can you open the hat's section and tap on it to remove it?
