@ek83q1ixnp06 I know its frustrating to continue to see this quest as available. Fixing this issue is being done in two parts, the first part was to ensure noone else was getting these quests beyond those already affected. That part has been done. The next step is to work out how to help those affected, this is complicated as we want to ensure there are no lasting effects. We are working on it but we don't want to rush it, we do appreciate your patience! 🙂

@SimGuruMaaike okay so i think i have proof of the bug being caused by heirlooms on display at other sim’s parties! another quest popped up after i joined a party and so i started doing some snooping.....especially because it fell in line with what everyone else in this thread has been saying. this is a bit of a long-winded post, but i cover a lot about the root cause i promise!pic one: the new quest popped up!after the quest popped up, i started doing a hunt for if there were any rewards from the space career at the party.pic two: the party right after i closed the quests menu. this pic is mainly here to show the time between this & the next one to help back up my claim that i searched thoroughlyi scoured the party and couldnt find a single reward from the career and almost gave up when i saw this player had endless heirlooms on display and realised i hadnt looked to see if the heirloom was there!pic three: it was there 🤔now, to confirm what the heirloom looked like, i had gone through the "all heirlooms" collection to find it and make sure it was definitely the heirloom for the career. this is where it starts to get a bit interesting....there were a few heirlooms that the app said i had multiples of and so i was selling them all for the tickets thinking that i had obviously just missed doing so when i first got them, but then i started to realise that there were too many for that to be the case. the final blow came as i sold a duplicate for the photography career. i knew i would have remembered having gotten a duplicate and it was all adding up to be a bit suspicious... anyway i stopped selling them and kept scrolling only to see dozens of so-called "duplicates".pics four through six: examples of just how many duplicates there were. this was after i had sold a bunch of them and still doesnt show all of them!at this point, i started to wonder what exactly had happened with all the "duplicates" i sold so i opened up my storage only to discover that all the heirlooms i had sold duplicates for were missing. i don't have photos of this because its a lot harder to provide proof of something not existing.being a curious person though, i saw a problem and went "i wonder what happens if i poke it with a stick?". there were heirlooms where there were more than two listed, so if they were being sold from my collection, what would happen if i tried to sell two of the same heirloom?pics six and seven: what happened when i tried to sell multiple duplicates of the same heirloom. it's a bit hard to see because of the lack of contrast, but in the second image you can see that when i clicked the greyed out option to sell the "second" old rivals heirloom, the message that came up said that the heirloom was not in storage. this is cause it was removed when i sold the "third" old rivals heirloom.so, as you can see, the problem is that the game is interpreting other players' heirlooms as those of our own. the party i attended tonight also had a play it again sim heirloom on display, but no quest came up from that. i also have noticed that this hasnt happened with any relationship heirlooms and no one in the thread has reported it for relationship or hobby quests. the heirlooms also seem to exist in a semi-ghost state– they're real enough for the quest menu to go into action or display as a duplicate, but they don't exist as a physical item, nor do they unlock in the heirloom collection page if they're an heirloom you don't own. in picture five, you can see that my rocket science heirloom is still greyed out despite the quest having been triggered.oh and all the heirlooms i sold didn't get rid of the stories! i had one of my sims check out the photog career & it still gave him the offer to transfer to it even though the heirloom had been removed from my storage. i didn't check any others though because i was satisfied with the outcome of that example.i think that covers all the relevant info i would be able to give! i hope it helps with finding the bug.p.s– i think this bug is kinda fun and funky but if possible can you try and work a fix where all the heirlooms i sold aren't lost to me forever? player id is 1003750689018

@_EastofEden_ it sounds like you're lucky. For the dance career go to the Wellness Center and place the mirror found in the items tab.
For the photography career go to careers and pick the one that you can buy and place it on your lot.

Can you check and see if you have the heirloom for dance career and photography? Who knows you might have it.

i have the same problem! only the dance instructor career is showing up for me but i dont have the heirloom and have no objects to place.

I am getting quests for actions I cannot perform because I don’t have the required objects. Examples:
“It’s Classified” - I do not have the Secret Agent career station (more on this below)

“Surgical Precision” - I do not have the Surgery Table
Additionally, I was working on the Secret Agent career quest to receive the heirloom. After the update, the reward for the quest changed to “Secret Agent Advanced Mission” instead of the heirloom.

Basically, the game thinks I have items that I don’t have yet (I have been playing less than a week, so new player).
I believe this happens when visiting other people’s houses during parties. During the visit, the game registers some of the items that the host has as belonging to me and is messing with my own game progress.
