Sims Mobile - Some Thoughts

I have been on level 40, completed all careers, all hobbies with the exception of the new Internet one, and am currently working on the relationships.   I feel like I am at an impasse with little to no content left to play, add into this a whole host of items that make the game play meh! at best.

  • The game is become very repetitive.  I am to the point of preferring to put the Sims into long events so I don't have to do the same thing over and over and over and over and over again.
  • Frustration:   It takes way too long to clear the land and is way too expensive to clear it.   $20,000 to $60,000 taking up to 5 to 6 days to clear a 4 x 4 piece of land.  Really??!?!  If it is going to cost you that much time and Simoleons then you need to make the area of land that is cleared larger.
  • Frustration:   It is impossible to replenish your SimsCash!   The only way to get more SimsCash is basically spending really money to get it, $100 for 7,500 SimsCash.  I have played this game I think I have only gotten $5 worth of SimsCash in a given day.   OMG!   The items you want  us to use the SimsCash on are extremely expensive.   It is almost like EA is saying lets drain the SimsCash and make these people purchase more with money.  I get it is a business and you need to make money, but come on.
  • Frustration:   Storage!   Oh My God!!   You set a limit on items you can put in your house, but do not set a limit or give us a way to get rid of the items in our storage.  Give us an opportunity to get rid of the * in our storage for SimsCash or Simoleons.  I mean the majority of the things inside my storage is stuff that were forced on me because of an event.   8 luxury sofas!
  • Frustration:  Events that are not announced and require you to be literally on your device 24/7 to complete.  Two TO DO LIST on the current event, which mean you have to wait until the morning to complete.  Hello!   If you are going to require that you could have at least make another TO DO LIST available later on in the day, rather than the next day.  I started this event, but will not be able to completed it because of the unreasonable amount of time for each section.
  • Frustration:  Lack of content!   I am at level 40 and basically just working to get more Simoleons build up for whatever event that might come my way, because God knows you are going to expect us to spend more and more Simoleons on the next adventure.   I get this game is new and content will trickle out as you develop this game, but I would think you would have put out a game that had more content than what you have.   The new stuff you are adding is just the same as the other content, but with the same actions phrased differently.

I enjoyed the game when I first got it, but I am finding things to be coming more and more repetitive and nothing more than a money grab by the company.  I person will keep the game loaded on my tablet, and will only check on it when something more drastic comes about.

@Ricky001974 I agree with just about everything you wrote. They really need to think through things better and not make everything look like a cash grab. 😏

  • @Ricky001974 You said most everything how I feel!!

And let's not forget how expensive it is to be constantly fixing furniture! I can't afford the repairs on the nicer furniture. I keep my cheap furniture around to do social interactions, cause of repair costs.

I can't spend real money on this game and it's getting harder to enjoy this game without it. I'm disappointed in EA for this. I have been enjoying Sims since Sims 1 and like you said I know they need to make money, but this is becoming ridiculous!!

@PaQuilter1:   Thank you!   I thought I was the only one thinking that.  I mentioned a few critiques on Reddit and another website and the stock answer is that the game is brand new and that you have to wait for content, a la the Sims Freeplay.

@Simfanatic08:  OMG!   I forgot about that!    Yes, so much yes!    The furniture is way too expensive to fix.  I bought a newer television and it costs anywhere between $300 to $500.   I am even having items that I have never used breaking down.   Get rid of this feature all together, or give the Sim the opportunity to fix it and use the items for SimsCash.  I think I have spent close to $50 on this game, one for SimsCash and one for a package that had a lot of cupcakes in it.   I will NOT be spending money on this game again, not now or in the future.  If I am going to be spending that amount of money, I might as well just switch over to the Sims 4.   I am actually going to get Sims 4 and a few packs with Origin's sell, at least I'll get better game play and content with that (IMO).
