They're very unlikely to announce a server for 1st January for a lot of reasons not to do with the actual game. As for announcing servers for other dates, we'll just have to wait and see as it is not normal for servers to be announced weeks in advance.
Firestorm 17 may not be what you wish for, but for some it will provide light relief. Those that fund heavily will make their own minds up if they're not on the WCS but I can't see many expecting what has never bene delivered in the past, multiple new servers within days of each other. We've already been told the criterion for new servers is generally the filling up of previous ones. Whether we agree with this policy or not as players, that is the blueprint from which the game is managed.
