- I've gone through about half in this list and closed them. If your world is offline there is no need to report it here, the team know many worlds are not working. If there is no update or information available then there will be no post!
- The problem isn't that people can't log in or are opening new posts and crying because they can't play the game they've paid money into...it's the fact that there isn't any real detail...for 90 minutes I have searched all over looking for specifics. Not just "we're rebooting" and "worlds are offline", I'm looking for problems and causes, I'm looking for devs posting to players who may have technical insight that they can bounce ideas off; I'm looking for - we're putting the worlds back on the old servers while we rectify the new ones;
Or someone took the petty cash for a drink up after the England Vs Croatia game and now the electricity has run out at HQ.
People don't respond well to vague answers and that's all I'm seeing. To be honest I don't really care that I haven't played in 3 days, this is a bad habit anyway, but I have spent £75 this month alone and I do care that I am not getting my money's worth. "Soixie;c-1965600" wrote:
Then register a complaint directly with EA and voice your concerns there, show respect when discussing the issue with them and you might be pleasantly surprised. As been explained with crystal clarity already; EA attempted to move server hosting and it didn't go as planned, they are working on it and there is no ETA. You aren't going to get anything more detailed than this, unless you go to work for EA one day and get assigned to the team responsible for it.
Hey Soixie, thank you for your passive aggressive response, I was just airing my thoughts over you posting multiple hyperlinks to someone who is obviously aggrieved by not being able to play. We don't, for the most part, care what EA do with their servers; we do, however, have a natural tendancy to want to be kept in the loop - you're busy implying a pleasant letter to EA is the way to go - I and many others believe keeping paying customers updated is a matter of courtesy that EA needs to employ and not us. How can you not have a single update since 11:58 this morning? (I mean EA of course and not you Soixie)
And by the way, had I been working for EA, I would have contingencies because I know how to IT.- Most welcome for the consolidated list and it wouldn't surprise me if one or two links are not relevant. I agree, I generally code /plan for at least two failures with redundant back ups but this isn't the USA.
- you see what it is Soixie is that if EA posted a simple message (acknowledging the problem and error messages that we might encounter on the landing page, rather than continuing to just notify us of maintenance or forthcoming worlds) then you wouldn't get the multiple "dead horse"(as you put it in another thread) threads. We don't sign up to read every thread, we sign up to play, when it doesn't work we post a thread - simple - oh it doesn't work let's see if anyone knows about it, NOT oh it doesn't work, lets go to the forums and sift through a million threads from people with varying levels of issues, some of which are quite often ridiculous (as I'm sure you and the moderators appreciate). The take home from this?if something goes wrong you let people know in a single immediately accessible location such as the landing page and it will cut out a lot of crap.The alternative is you get passively stroppy about multiple threads, gamerdruid wastes time and minutes of his life closing multiples/duplicates - everyone wastes a whole load of time. No-one is going to contact EA as you suggeste, it's recreation, it winds us up but we switch to another form of recreation like winding you up posting on forums :D I'm just about to open a million new threads all on the same subject ;P
- I cant log into firestorm7 for days
When i contacted EA technical support they said others players can still playing and asking me to check my own internet connection setting
Anyone here on firestorm7 ? - I have been playing this game for 6 years now with several accounts on several worlds and with every update something goes wrong somewhere. This though is the worst so far. Although I know some worlds are already up and working again I cannot login because for months now the item "change server" does not work, whatever you try. Taking our money is of course the purpace of EA but a bit of respect to the players would be welcome. They know very well that these bugs will lose them a lot of players and money. If you cannot login you you cannot spend money. If anyone knows how to contact the real CEO of this game tell him to take someone on that knows what he or she is doing.
- The Dutch server of world 4 is still offline, this problem has been the entire weekend. I presume EA is going to compensade the money we have put in!

If they compensate it wont be much ....
There is no compensation coming from EA as there is no scenario an asset would flow from EA to a player. If you are pay to play, you may qualify for coupons if you contact customer support as stated several times over the past few days. If you are a free to play player believing games magically run on their own with fairy dust, EA owes you nothing.
