Supply Point Production Decreased with Rank Promotion

My supply points rate of production decreased when I was promoted to Major General on Wrath 22. They are supposed to and usually increase with a rank promotion. This is unfair for my progress in the game. Another account that is one rank lower has a higher supply point production rate. Please fix this.

  • I'm very disappointed to find out that not only this is a old bug that did not have been fixed yet, but I'm also disappointed to read the only answer from a known dev.
Why you're asking a screenshot when the explanation is clear?

It's a 2018 post and we're now in march 2020 and yet the bug is still there.

Lets be more specific, so devs can focus on fixing it with the new patch 20.1 hopefully, in few days. More than enough time to correct a single line in the coding.

    Here is the issue:

As a general, no matter if you choose NOD or GDI army, when you are at rank 12, your supply points is produced at a rate of 13.7/hour. Then, when you get promoted to the next rank 13, your supply points is produced at a rate of 10.7/h.

As mentioned before, usually, this is increased and not the other way around. Passing from 13.7/h to 10.7/h is a massive drop and is more felt like a punishment than a promotion.

I'm playing only Tiberium 42 right now and I'm not happy about that.

From my perspective, it seem a simple coding error that can be very easily fixed by correcting the formula where it says when: "when player (x) points reach 1200000 points = supply points production (y)+3.1/h".

Of course, I'm sure there is more variables used in the real coding, but it does not change the fact that it clearly seem that a minus symbol have been used instead of a plus. Unless it's a number in a case you use a more general formula that involve that number to change with each rank. In this type of formula, the rank is also a variable, as well as the raise of supply points production and the error can be in the table of value itself. But no matter what, it's an error located in a single place in the coding and it can be due to only 2 to 3 possibilities: a sign, a number in the formula itself, or in the database table.

I assume it could be included with the next patch 20.1

I hope, because I'm a heavy user of the SP and I have the funding to support any raise with every rank and because of that, I badly feel that issue as a big punishment.

    Thanks!
  • Patch 20.1 has been finalised and tested on the PTE. Fixing it for patch 20.2 is more likely, 20.1 is too optimistic.
  • That is very sad, but at the same time, if it can be included in the next minor patch release, it would be great. It would be nice if devs could double check that the sp production is ok for each rank, to prevent seing an other similar issue at an higher rank.
  • Since my last post here in March, it did not have been fixed. It keep getting frustrating, because you get promoted with a new rank and with a higher supply point capacity, but the supply point generation /hour keep getting lower and lower. It should not get lower like that when you get more capabilities to spend those supply points. Especially at Vizier and Grand Vizier, both are lower than the previous rank before Vizier.

It would be very appreciated if you can fix this bug once and for all. I already said in my previous post that it's very easy to fix it, as it involve a formula that grant an X% of additional supply capacity /h with each additional rank.

I know it can only be in next patch, so please, don't forget to add that in the to do list!!

Is it possible to let me know if it will be fixed?

    Thanks!
  • It's not in the patchnotes for 20.2 which is currently on test on the PTE. I don't know if it is even on the developers 'to do' list. @EE_Elephterion would know that.

When you get to the top rank of Hand of Kane, sp production is 12.5/h under 20.2 patch
  • We have been looking into this, from what we could find it appears to be the catch-up mechanic. As you gain points and rank up, the bonus diminishes.
We have included this in the tooltip now.
