Titanfall crashes when loading a map - at least I think that's what it's doing, I have never got as far as playing a game.Whatever game mode I choose (training, campaign, multiplayer), after the lobby screen it goes to a loading screen (which says something like "Welcome to the frontier" for training), the little loading circle rotates for a while, and it eventually stops, the screen goes black, and I get the message "Titanfall.exe has stopped working".I have tried:Updating my graphics driverRepairing the gameReinstalling the gameDeleting temporary filesStopping unneccessary processesSwitching graphics settings to minimumNothing has helped so far.I am running windows 7 64 bit. Dell XPS 430.Intel Core 2 Quad Q8200 @ 2.33GHz4GB RAMATI Radeon HD 4850 graphicsI understand that's dangerously close to the minimum requirements, but it is above.

Hi there, I have/had the same problem. I've searched the entire forum and more for what might cause/solve this problem and i think I finally solved it! Since I've spent so much time looking for an answer I hope this helps you and saves you the time, and maybe other people experiencing the same problem who end up here.Before all of the things below I did try some other things I found on this forum and elsewhere:- Download and extract this dll package in C:\Windows\System32: http://www.bitdefender.com/files/KnowledgeBase/file/dlls.zip- Update my bios to the latest version- Disable vsync- Run the game in windowed modeIf the above doesn't help, I've been talking to EA support for about 1,5 hours now and these are the troubleshooting steps they guided me through:1. Disable firewall and antivirus2. Try repairing Titanfall in Origin (right-click - repair)3. After repair launch Origin in Admin mode4. Try running Titanfall (if crash follow next steps)5. Try this: http://help.ea.com/en/article/programs-that-may-cause-conflicts-with-origin/ (in the end, disabling xFire seems to have done the trick for me)6. It might be because AMD is no longer supporting 4850's with driverupdates which can cause driverproblems with new games.

Have you updated the graphics card from AMD's website instead of Dell's?

Hi there, I have/had the same problem. I've searched the entire forum and more for what might cause/solve this problem and i think I finally solved it! Hmmm, seems my problem isn't fixed yet, though I can play a few rounds without a crash now. I now get a nvidia related crash and found this solution for it, gonna try it tomorrow.

Been away for a few days.
Yeah I've updated DriectX. Dxdiag says it's on directX11.
I've tried the solution in the first link you posted - downloading the platform.rar file - but the .rar says it's corrupt near the end of the extraction process.

So since I got back, I tried an 'Update' of titanfall from the origin menu. It did an update, which appears to have added the files contained in the platform.rar
Now it works - I've just played a game - too bad I've got work tomorrow!

Hope this helps! Btw i have the same crash when loading the map! Now my story:
I have win7, a GTX275, a quad core and 8 gig of ram. I bought titanfall, installed it on my sata hdd and played it without any crashes on low settings (turned off vsync, no antialising at all, since i have a dx10 card and of course in fullscreen, bla bla) i played about 50 hours. Then i thought 'hey, you have a single ssd on your pc, why not installing titanfall there to have shorter loading times!?' After doing so the game crashed all the time when the map was loading! Before reinstalling the game on my ssd i already played with the latest titanfall patch 1036. and i didn't updated windows nor anything else on my system!!! Now a simple reinstall forced the game to behaves like that? The event viewer shows me the crash with the materialdisplay_dx11.dll failure! So what went wrong if nothing changed? Imagine i played many hours without any problem! My BF3 also never did any problems as well! And i tried every solution from the forums to get the game working again! Then i always thought 'why changing anything if it was already running on my system?!' Anyhow, nothing helped me to get the game working properly again! Hopefully that helps somehow to get closer to the dll issue.
