Titanfall 2 won't start PC

Question

Hello I bought TF2 on steam (alongside Battlefield 1) and it won't start. Pressing play on steam opens the EA launcher, where it loads saying "preparing game" for a minute before just showing the TF2 page. The EA launcher itself doesn't have a play button, stating "Deluxe edition accessed through Steam" (also trying the .exe did nothing new). What makes this stranger is that although both TF2 and Battlefield 1 are EA launcher games that I bought together, BF1 launches up just fine.

I've also tried verifying the game cache/files on steam. Uninstalling/Reinstalling the game. Manually deleting the files and reinstalling the game. Contacting EA support (steam support doesn't handle games that open through the EA launcher). Waiting a few months in case the launcher needed a patch or something.

I don't want a refund, I want the game to launch. Do you have any ideas of things to try or ways to contact an actual person to ask them about this?

Are you playing on Linux? I was having the exact same issue as you, playing on Steam Deck just fine until recently, and then the game wouldn't even start. After trying everything you did (aside from EA Support), I tinkered with launch options and Proton a bit and finally got it to launch. But now it runs like crap. Used to get a solid 45 FPS and now I get less than 20 FPS. What's even stranger is that Steam overlay shows my CPU is only at 20% usage and GPU is at 10% usage. I even tried changing the drive the game was installed on and it's still unplayable.
