- Thanks so much for this, makes me a little less worried, every time I plug in a zero and see the number drop. :D
- Thanks!
Having read this I see I already have more than enough corn (surprise surprise) but no idea if I'll have enough of everything else to craft it all! Although having said that, I've already crafted the Farmers Market.
Theatre masks though... Eek! direwolf987 wrote:
Nice spread sheet, thanks for that :)
I downloaded it as an excel file and altered it so I could see how may crafting resources I would need to craft my desired number of each item. Sadly I will not even come close to getting the amount of stuff I wanted. Is it too much to ask for 10 cane fields, flower walls, and cactus patches or 4 Homer Decoys? The answer is yes
I said it at the beginning, and I'll say it again. Crafting is stupid and should be done away with
Well it was "fun" for a while 3 a 4 events time for a new mecanic!
@ Wadebear
Thanks - OK awesome! I guess I DO need more fertilizer!
So here's a question: Not that I don't know how to multiply amounts, but is there a simple way to calculate what you'll need for multiples of an item? Like say I want nine cactus patches...I can multiply 9 x whatever in my head and enter that value, but is there a quick way?
Also, I have a couple items that I have no intention of getting so I just zeroed out the values for those (flower walls are NOT calling to me!). Works great! Now everything that I've tried to pack into my brain is on a handy spreadsheet!
Great thinking there WadeBear!
Now to figure out a way to up my DNA earnings without blowing a bunch of other resources... - haha i like your style wadebear, i have a nearly identical text file on my desktop keeping track, thanks for posting the spreadsheet. i need to have concrete goals with how long the event is and the sheer bulk of all the crafting materials, or else i get too stressed out :D

Change the formula in cell B20 to =SUM(B2:B19)+8*B8 and the formula in cell E20 to =SUM(E2:E19)+8*E8 (hit return each time you're finished, don't click in another cell)
Then each time you craft a Cactus Patch reduce the multiplier by 1. - honolululuSeasoned Newcomer

It's a shame Google Sheets can't do "red on negative". It looks so much cooler that way.
Thanks for the spreadsheet! If you want red negatives then
Highlight the appropriate Needs row and
look under Format, Conditional Formatting,
set to Format Cells... if less than 0, then pick the red font.
http://i.imgur.com/B1auMnP.jpg - So, a little over 8000 Ferts to my 3rd Farmer's Market, 3200 DNA for a 2nd Gas & Grub, 7300+ Opera Masks for the Houseboat, and if I make all three I still need over 2000 corn (surprised). I might get enough to get the decoy, too (or I'll get it if I fall short on some of the buildings). I shouldn't have crafted that Sani-John Smokehouse just because it was in the task bar... Still over a week left, I guess.

Ah! Thank you. I have now updated the spreadsheet online with red negatives.
It's so much easier to do that in Libre Office - just check the checkbox. From the looks of it Google Sheets has a lot more optionality though...
