And Neuro, are you still playing Tribez?
Not much since I got a new tablet. There wasn't a way to transfer my game, so it doesn't get attention anymore. I never had many neighbors on there, anyway, though. I might try to finish out the story at some point.- it's pretty arduous tapping all my buildings and characters, i do agree.... however i like to set up everyone on 24 hr tasks around bedtime. it helps lull me to sleep... constant, dull, repetitious, tapping... tap... tap... ta... tazz.... z.....zzz....zzzz.....
*edit to fix typos because i am a moron who can't type* - barryriddl474Seasoned NewcomerPersonally, I would disable an option to collect all of anything. That being said, it would be nice to see a device that did offer this function for those who prefer to play this way. I don't really have a need for in game money, as I have been playing for a while, so this function would do nothing for me and my style of playing. I prefer to put my town under a continuous microscope, so it doesn't bother my man hands to tap my screen when needed.
- I agree it would be a nice option when time is short. Really clearing my town doesn't bother me too much. Setting tasks is monotonous so it would be awesome to have the ability to set all for a set time
The Fed button was brilliant for dropping off feds when visiting friends. THAT would definitely be a feature I would LOVE to see incorporated into the game. I do like to look around neighbors towns from time to time, but a button that I could tap 3 times to complete my visits would be AWESOME!! No searching for buildings to tap! Optional, of course so during events or if you just wanted look around, you could still manually tap whatever you wanted! 4kidsandacatdog wrote:
I like the idea, but in my personal style of play I do like to keep certain things available for neighbors. What has occurred to me is that maybe you could have a collect all button but divided into broad categories. So say you can click "all houses" and it would collect all of those. That way if you wanted you could leave a couple uncollected and available for neighbors.
Did I explain that clearly? Not sure if it makes sense.
Yup, that's exactly what was proposed by a member earlier in the thread: a somewhat customizable "collect all" feature, so you can set it to only collect buildings with handshakes (leaving uncollected buildings for neighbors), or all buildings with money (for early players who still need cash to expand their town and XP to level up), and even characters with completed tasks.
It's brilliant.Alexanderke4 wrote:
@dirish: games are fun for me when there's a kind of competition. I also played from start and still love tapping everything as it gives me more money/exp so i get ahead of others.
I would agree to this feature if it wouldn't Give you the money and exp from collecting. Then it's up to you what you want.
You don't like the tapping while you want to spend your time decorating while i just place my buildings and love tapping everything. This game has 2 goals: tapping and decorating while enjoying the storylines. You can't change this without changing the whole game.
Again, you're largely missing the point of the game if you're boiling it down to that. And you also continue to miss the fact that you don't have to use the feature. There's also no real competition related to collecting money and XP from buildings. You're still limited by the level cap, so not sure how there's any competition (other than in the recently added leaderboards for the events, which has nothing to do with collecting money and XP from buildings).
You continue to push your preferred play style on others. This is about a choice, not a dictate. If you don't want to use the feature, don't. It's that simple.
As for it not giving money and XP, now you're just being pedantic.henpot7514 wrote:
I agree with collecting and setting all to characters but not collecting all from buildings, what then will your neighbours have to tap?
Please read the thread. It's been proposed and discussed several times that it would be customizable so you can set it to only collect from buildings with handshakes, leaving the other buildings for your neighbors. Very simple idea and I'd love to see that.- grogtheslayerSeasoned NewcomerI've been thinking a lot about the design of this game, and I agree with the OP that we need a "collect all" feature. I was thinking something along the lines of a "taxman" premium character that, once purchased with donuts, would collect all untapped buildings but do so with a tax penalty, say, 10% (or whatever) of the total value of cash and XP (maybe a higher percentage so that housefarming wouldn't become easier and create more ease in grinding for donuts). Really, this is something that high level players would likely be interested in more than beginners, and it would actually make me want to log in at least once a day to "cash out" (by tapping my taxman...or taxwoman...or taxalien...heck, sell different skins for the taxman character to change gender and race) all the items I've built/purchased and left out in my Springfield. I'd even consider making taxman be able to earn from characters in the town with completed tasks, too.
I would also like to see an improvement on the Town Hall feature where a spreadsheet-like interface would appear, listing each character by name, maybe with a small headshot icon, and then have a list of time tasks listed, and then I could easily assign multiple characters to tasks rather rapidly.
One other idea, although it would likely be too complex to implement, would be to allow a player to assign a task and then assign a duration to it. Let's face it, we have favorite animations for our characters, but these may only be 2 hours and we'd rather have them last for 24. - I would be ok with this as long as I had a choice wether or not to use it. I like to keep all my houses and apartments for my nighbors and I tap everything else.
- The reason for tapping our buildings is to earn ingame money. EA gets zip from that.
The reason for earning money is to buy freemium buildings and decorations. EA gets zip from that.
The reason for buying freemium buildings and decorations is to design a town. EA gets zip from that.
Here is when EA finally makes money: When as we build our town, we decide it will be improved with premium items.
The ONLY tapping that makes a nickel for EA is tapping that little "buy more" button next to that pink donut.
Every. Single. Mindless. Tap. On anything other than THAT button is useless.
EA wants us decorating. THAT is where they make money.
Every time we tap on a building, it distracts us from designing our town. I guess some of you derive some inner peace of mind from tappety-tap-tapping. That's your choice.
I'm sure you are horrified at the knowledge that some of us use the character locator, the town hall census, and the arrows to visit neighbors. Im sure you put up a huge fight. I am sure you would rather eat broken glass than ever use one of those. Yeah, some of us are that lazy. I apologize for destroying your game with those. - I absolutely, totally, utterly WANT THIS FEATURE!
My time, like many, is not unlimited. Sometimes I would like to be in and out of the game in a couple of minutes.....other times I would like to spend a big chunk of time in game.
I would like the OPTION please.
For those who don't want a one-click, simply don't use it, but please stop belittling those who would like it. wildminion wrote:
