I absolutely agree, in the light of characters that have been declared as dead or no longer a part of the show, it would only be shown as more respectful to their impact on the show by being included.

I would insta-buy those characters.

Does Phil Hartman have a charity the proceeds could go to?

Phil Hartman doesn't need this game to be honored or recognized. His career and talent stand on their own.

I'd agree that Phil Hartman doesn't need this game to be honored or recognized, but the characters that he voiced were integrally unique and important in the Simpsons world. Why not devote the payment of the characters to a charity that he would have supported? Seems like a sufficient trade and not one that would sour his name.

I'd love to see these characters in the game, but I think we're not getting them due to money issues not "respect". Contractual obligations to the heirs might be too expensive to EA.

Possible. It also could be something like Robin Williams - You know he put in his will to not use his voice for like 10 years after his death or something........................... Phil or his heirs may have simply said no.

I'm sure Phil Hartman was proud of his Lionel Hutz and his Troy McClure. I love listening to his voice. We can't go back and undo what his wife did, but we don't need to expand her power to allow her to erase his voice.

Also dont forget everyone the devs opened the door with the appearance of Lyle Lanley during Monorail. I have to imagine it's only a matter of time before Lionel Hutz and Troy McClure are added to the game.
