Bell count - "new" math?
This has been the case every event. The bonus never starts right at the dot. Nothing new here. It starts counting when you synchronize again.

- Yeah, it's like this for most events.
The bonus is treated as a "quest", appearing in the side bar. It doesn't mark itself as "done" until you return to your town, or sometimes even if you have a mass of event currency, not until they've dinished polling in your total event count.
These can cause you to be out, as when the quest is completed it then re-issues the quest for X,000 currency again. Not, for example, 4,000 from the last prize of 22,500, but from your count now.
Try to keep an eye on when you earn the donut bonus, and return to collect them ASAP when you finish it to avoid getting too far out of sync.
