Now that's the sort of useful tip I like. I hadn't come across that before but I'll certainly be making use of it.

The faster way to do it is to go backward or forward in your friend list with the arrows, and then just go backward or forward again into the friend's town. Of course if you accidentally hit "Home" that works too, but then it's a pain to scroll through the friend list to find your spot again. If I'm told Bob is in the town but I can't find him, I usually do all my friend actions first, then go back a friend, then go forward again and he'll be right there.

I have noticed that sometimes I get the pop up to say he has been spotted but then I have to go search for him. Other times it flys me across to where he is walking & then every now & then I get no pop up or moving to where he is & I just spot him walking across my screen. Does anyone know, if I get no pop up & don't see him but he was there so didn't get caught does that effect my righteousness or my neighbours, both or neither?

The first time you visit a neighbor you have to find him, if you go back to that town and didn't catch him the first time, the screen will zoom you to him on the second visit. Quite annoying during events when you were going for the cavdorhatten or where ever the event currency is.
