Can you buy the new land?
So far, I can't see any way to get the new land except with free land tokens. I don't have enough to unlock all the new land, but I have loads of in-game coins....

all land available before the event is still purchasable via in game currency as it was before.
That seems to indicate this is not a bug. Which is pretty disheartening
