Christmas lights and decorations

Mine are up in game and in real life :) we love to celebrate so we put everything up asap!

I wasn't playing yet last Christmas. How did you get the light skins? Were they prizes? Did you buy them with in game cash or donuts? I really like the way they look for the holidays but don't think I'd be willing to pay donuts for them.

i think they were prizes won by collecting event currency. But I agree, I hope they do bring them back for newer players, preferably for in-game money and not doughnuts.

As for my lights, I'm going to wait until the Christmas event starts.

Seems like I remember most house skins were won on a wheel, and the Volcano Lair and Frink's were premium. I could be wrong. I've been wrong once before...

I've been doing this. I've got a few houses with their lights on, and will continue to add more houses until it snows.

I like this idea. I think I'll put up a few lights and save the rest for later.

The house lights were paid for with event coins in Dec 2012 during Xms 2013 we had to spin the wheel of doom or pay donuts for the lights belonging to premium buildings.

In RL some people have the lights on already in this area. Personally I'd prefer they kept them unlighted till December at least or not at all. This area is in the "tours" to see the Xmas lights. Not nice when they keep them on over night and you can sleep from the glare. Argh!

Where in Canada are you. Because where I am a lot of people had there stupid lights up weeks ago. I have been looking at one of those jesus scenes across the street for almost a month now. :x And Yes, i am one of those people that it bothers if you put that crap up the day after halloween and don't take it down until march (my neighbours across the street are those people). But it seems to be a thing in the area I live in. WTH?

I've gotta agree with this. I assume they put it up right when the first snow came? In my tradition Christmas rarely starts before December 1 and never goes past January 6.

They started selling live trees here where I live the weekend after Halloween! Whose tree lasts that long?!?
