- dude you had enough time to upgrade all the things. If you planned things more you could have gotten everything.

You couldn't wake up, tap a screen and go back to sleep?
I do this all the time.- I upgraded all the way then you get the choice to have whichever skin you want for display purposes .......I chose level 1 so yours looks better than mine
If that's any consolation :)
edit missed a letter, but it let me put right my mistake 8) sandrakillett wrote:
not only didn't I get the gingerbread house finished at level 5 but I also didn't get any reward for the characters that had been in overnight nor did I complete act 1 and, therefore, did not receive the 20 donuts prize!
I think there is a misunderstanding about how the 20 donut prize works. You get 20 donuts for completing every task in the weekly challenge. For more information, see the weekly challenge guide here http://forum.ea.com/eaforum/posts/list/10384665.page
There is still time for you to complete two weeks of challenges and get 40 donuts. These challenges are independent to other activities in the event, so completing the ginger bread house or completing act 1 would do nothing to obtain the 20 donuts. Be careful next week, the time table for the last weekly challenge appears to be shorter than usual http://forum.ea.com/eaforum/posts/list/10388593.page
There also seems to be a misunderstanding on how event task work in general. The timeline is for when you have to have a task completed by, not just started. Sometimes EA extend events or let you collect after the fact, but that is not something to count on. It's best to pay attention to the event timer and budget your time accordingly.sandrakillett wrote:

It sounds like the game mechanics aren't suited to your style of play.- If you had enough characters doing the very last task in the gingerbread house and woke up after act 1 finished and act 2 had started you should have still had the thumbs up above the gingerbread house. Tapping on it would have given you the credit to have it reach level five.
How do I know this because thats what happened in my Wifes town. - Over $434 million? Why aren't you buying Bloodmobiles and selling them so you can level up and get donuts? Do you not know how that works?
- We had no warning that the Gingerbread House would become incompleteable (is that even a word?) when it switched over to Act 2. I agree that they should have let us complete it without donuts. However, it would not have stopped you from getting your 20 weekly donuts. In my feeder town, my Gingerbread House is stuck on Level 4, and I was about 900 hats away from completing Act 1, but I've gotten 20 donuts every week.

According to the internet, yes and no. Incompletable is a word, you just spelled it wrong   :P- If you fail to plan, you plan to fail :D
