Criminal Spawn Rate

Has the criminal spawn rate been changed? Before i left it was 1 every 5 minutes. When i went to my town today I cleared the town of them from the last two days. I just went back after 2 hours and there was only 6 in my town. Anyone know if ea changed it?

I thought the same this morning, when I logged on to tap. There didn't seem as many criminals as usual.

I noticed that after i started the collectors tasks criminals were fewer and futher between.

I'm not tracking spawn rate closely but I have noticed the last few days that my login screen isn't displaying on launch. I synch with the server right away when this happens and anytime I think I should have more criminals, I visit KL or friend screen to synch with server. More always show up when I do this.

Also, if you are away from your town for greater than 2.5 hours you'll have two sets of criminals -- group one should show up when you login and group 2 is a bank of excess criminals, group two doesn't appear in your town until you clear most of group one

(5 hours should max both of these sets at 60ish total criminals but a synch helps you see the second set once the first is mostly gone)

Nope. Just did the KL trick and resync and it didnt work. Had 18 in my town (4hours +). Went to neighbors, KL and when i went back to my town there was 1 more for a total of 19. I think im resyncing, but not 100% positive. Should i go to ea about it?

I honestly have not been counting but I am wondering if you guys are counting them as your tapping them?
I know sometimes when I tap one, with the level of my hand of justice it will tap others that are not on screen. I noticed this during neighbor visits first. I'm just wondering if this is a possibility? Not noticing them all? How are your pie counts going?

i only tap a criminal in the midde of my screen so theres little chance of the hand power effecting a criminal off screen. Overnight (8.5 hours) i had the full 30. Im going to try the pie count thing in a couple hours. Hopefully I'll have the 30 i should havein my towm

I just got off live chat with EA. The spwan rate affecting some people is a known isue and they are working on it. Hoefully it will be fixed soon.

Cool. I only brought it up as a possibility. Definitely not doubt in the fact it was happening.
I thought similar but I tap all over the place and don't count, so can't say for sure. Hope your issue is resolved soon :)
