- AnnathewickedRising TravelerIt's an odds game- it randomly set up each time you enter. So no, it doesn't matter, there's no pattern, only thing is every 300 will give donuts for sure.
- But do you think there are 8 different values behind the 8 different baloons, or are you "given" 3 nomatter which baloons you pop.
If you go with the 300 Donut-teory, it is controlled in some way. - There are not different values behind the balloons, it would have easily been discovered by now if it were so. 300 pops = 5 donuts.
Whenever there is a question about game logic or mechanics the answer is always: "the easiest way to code it". - One way to find out would be enter KL, disconnect your wifi, pop the balloons, remember the results, and wait to get kicked out. After your game kicks you out, plug the wifi back in and repeat the previous steps but with different balloons.

That is what I think as well. We are both programmers (Java/Cobol) and I go for the easy way out, and my husband think it would be "cheating". But how would you test it, so what's the point? Except this quite advanced version direwolf987 is suggesting.- I always pop the same three balloons and get much better odds than when I popped random ones.

I'm convinced if you pick 3 of the same color it's always 10 tickets each :(
Thats been my luck at level 47 and I have only seen donuts 2 times from it.
What if you begin with a 50?- 1% payout of 'Sideshow You' visits is statistically equivalent to 300 balloon pops, that's where the "every 300 pops" came from. But you are correct, its not guaranteed at every 300, it's more accurate to say a 1% chance. Apologies for implying/stating otherwise.

According to the wiki, odds on donuts are 1% at Sideshow You. I have no idea if that's accurate.
I can tell you that the idea that donuts drop from Sideshow You automatically every 300 actions isn't correct at all, unless they added it recently. Because it was over 500 taps before I got my first Sideshow donuts (i stopped keeping track at around 500).
My guess is the 1% is correct and not the guarantee every 300. Meaning it's 1% every time you play and there is no guarantee.
Has anyone ever looked into this to confirm it either way? With some evidence or something? - I've wondered this kind of thing as well. I've wondered if the prize behind the balloons is decided when Sideshow You is loaded or at the moment I tap the balloon and do the probabilities change depending on which scenario is correct? Also, if the prizes are decided when it loads then is a prize chosen for behind each balloon or is it randomly chosen that whatever balloon is popped first will get prize X, second will get prize Y, and third prize Z? That would definitely alter the probabilities depending on which of those scenarios is correct. Of course there is no way of testing for those so unless one of the programmers tells us we will never know.

The 5 donuts per 300 pops has been confirmed on here many a time as well as by other sites which will go un-named, which give us info from the game files.
There's a debated 1% chance for 5 on a random pop- debated Cuz people feel the number is lower
And a guaranteed 5 every 300 balloons popped
