I just don't like seeing people feel cheated.
People will always feel cheated. I bought $50 worth of donuts with the $20, $10 increments. I felt cheated out of the bonus donuts (back around Halloween). I don't complain about it because I accept the fault of my undoing.
My sister bought donuts the day BEFORE the sale in December.- I completely agree I used donuts to speed up getting the Motel as I didn't think I would get it by the end date, and now they have only gone and extended it so yes am pretty pissed off to :D
- Whilst I agree that it is slightly underhanded that EA did not announce that it was being extended until today, the fact of the matter is that nobody puts a gun to your head saying that you must spend money on this game to get this item or that item etcetera.
That, dear people is up to you. We all decide what we spend our hard earned money on. And the fact if the matter is that if you choose to sorbs your hard earned money in game to get items, why should that entitle you to a refund if you choose to spend it to speed things up and get items?
Incase people haven't noticed, freemium games like TSTO are (as fun as it is!) merely a cash grab. And people are willing to pay good money so that they can have a nicer virtual town than their friends. People lap it up. And EA aren't overly great when it comes to customer service. We know this and yet continue to play and spend money. It's like a bad relationship. They treat you badly, but you keep going back.
Anyway, yes. Nobody forced anyone to spend money. That was free will. Underhand as EA were, you still have free will. AwesomeMallis wrote:

The truth of the matter is that EA knows we will complain, but none of us will delete the game and move on. They can do just about anything they want and we will still play and pay. This is how the game will be from now on, so get used to it.
Lol, this is not true. I've already said this before and I will not pay anything else on this game if they don't treat their customers right. It's just a waste of money to me. I might keep playing it for free tho cause I have spent money on it before which I don't want to waste.
If you post later on about buying donuts, I'll call you out on it.
Just kidding.
It pisses me off too, their lack of any consideration for their customers. But we still play! That tells them they can do whatever they want.jonas_alexan wrote:

+1000- I have been screwed over as well. Hit with the harp 3 times, been kicked out while playing around a hundred times, had my town disappear, and now with over 21,000 snakes whacked, I got 1 donut in the whacking boxes.
Sorry you couldn't budget your time and spend the Countless hours to hit all 100 friends everyday and whack them 10 times after spending donuts on the license. Sorry you did not have the foresight to plan ahead and make a partnership with a friend and trade donuts back and forth.
Sick of the whining, sick of the begging for donuts. I am one whacking box short.... I am not crying... I am done with it. I realize there were two days I did not play, so it is my own fault. Or is it EA's fault. I am embracing the extra days to try and get 900 more to finish.
EA will NOT work with us on legitimate issues like the harp or lost cities, why would they refund your donuts for a decision YOU made? If they would have ended it in the middle day again like Valentines, sure gripe about it. Probably why they gave more time this go around..
Commence whining, I wont be back to read your driveling replies. - Accidental donut spending can be easily avoided by turning on confirm donut spend in the games in game menu I did it months ago never had a single accidental donut spend since, there really is no need to complain about when EA (and yes this surprises me from EA) have put an option in the game to avoid you accidentally spending donuts and dropping more $$$ in to EA pockets.
The whole lack of any notification that whacking day was being extended was BS and typical EA money grabbing tactics, after Xmas and valentines update it the limited time items and prizes where released at stupid donut prices so I don't blame anyone speeding up prizes but the extension by EA has been a cheap trick. - People might have more luck if they start complaining to someone who cares that they are screwing over Simpson's fans. Start targeting the cast members and writers. Media attention is the only thing that might cause EA to rethink their tactics.

They made it easy to accidentally turn it off though.
Notice the check mark area is really close to the cancel.
And here is the result, if you don't notice you tapped the check mark.
Edit.... Default is off. Why the "do not warn me" option, if people have to physically go into the menu to turn it on. I would think you would only add a "do not warn me" if the default was on.bry5421 wrote:
I submitted a dispute with Apple and have already been refunded my money.
It my understanding they will only do that once. If you continue playing the game they won't do it again.
