Evergreen Terrace Map?

If you check the Showcase section - I believe there is still a thread on towns built to reflect "real" spingfield of the show.... the information you seek may be found in there.......
  • Thanks for the replies everyone. 4junk3000 your work is very helpful and awesome design! In my opinion the best design I've seen by far. I just found out about this game last October and have been grinding at it ever since. Your Springfield is very similar to how I aspire to make mine. I'm a detail and organization freak so all the placements look great. Thanks for sharing. 8)

I understand why people want to model their SFs after the map on the show but it really makes you SF seem generic and boring. Sorry, but it's true. Some of my neighbors have really, really cool looking towns and I like to visit them and look around. The towns modeled after the show? No thanks. Been there, seen that!
Sorry, wasn't trying t be negative or offensive, just my opinion. :)

Exactly how many towns have you seen modeled after the show? So many that it became boring? I find that hard to believe.

Amazing how you weren't "trying", yet were still successful. Must be a Jersey Thing.

  • Thanks Annathewicked.... I read a lot of pages in that thread but mostly found info on the locations of stores and landmarks. I got tired of reading, feeling like the locations of houses probably isn't discussed in that thread. Was hoping for a shortcut lol but I might have to read the entire thread ::sigh::
  • I think you should go out of your way to build your own home town. If they ever release diagonal streets, that's what I will do.
  • I've modeled my town to mimic what's been established by the show.
Please but frankly it's impossible. Even the most commonly mentioned characteristic, that Moe's is directly to the left of the King Toots music store, is subject to debate, because in the series' opener there's always been a TV appliance store next to it.

    So, to answer your question,

    1. There is a good pic online of Evergreen Terrace and its surrounding neighborhood, as seen from above. I've quoted it in my SF's showcase thread. It's from the couch gag feature where the camera's view rises out of their house into space. But the houses are not identified.

    2. There is a list of established residence numbers on Evergreen Terrace. The Simpsons is 742 IIRC. Several people live on Evergreen Tr including Ms. Krabappel implying her apartment building is on the street. Wuggums' house is there too and obviously Flanders. So I've got all of their houses on that same street in my town.

I believe i read about most of it on the Simpsons wikia. The pic I'm referring to is like post#7 in this thread. http://forum.ea.com/eaforum/posts/list/10122173.page#top

Ever since its change to HD the shows opening has been a bit more consistent, and 4junks town in the pictures does resemble it much more closely than other towns ive seen.

now i may be a simpsons fan but im not a hardcore one, as such i can say the following: the show changes things to fit there agenda, there is no preset frame they follow, there are a few core concepts they follow EX. FLanders lives next to them, the simpsons house equity is low, etc.

Did you know that skinner has an old family recipe for steamed hams, which is a New York term for hamburgers (only in Albany) even though theyre grilled not steamed? Also the Aurora Borealis is localized entirely within skinners kitchen at this time of year, at this time of day in that part of the country, he just wont let anyone see it.

During the episode where the powers move in, Ruth and Laura, the Powers' hpuse is shown to be right next to the simpsons house, therefore it goes: Flanders, Simpsons, Powers.
Yet in the episode two bad neighbors the brown house appears to be in between the powers house and the simpson house.

Not to mention it has this gem:

thats apu with a car and a house, if you check it does not look like sanjays house, the garage door and the paint are off not to mention in later episodes Apu is shown driving that car so it probably wasnt borrowed (however this was before Manjula).

In 22 short films about springfield SANJAY's house is shown to be across the Kwik-e Mart, while it is also shown that a Krusty Burger is located behind Skinners house.

in another episode Krusty burger is replaced with this.

To make matters worse, skinners house is in front of the brown house and the simpsons house:
    https://deadhomersociety.files.wordpress.com/2015/09/22-short-films-about-springfield13.png?w=655
However it is also shown that multiple Krusty Burgers exist 4 located outside the simpsons house.

    Heres a fun one:
Whats behind the simpson house? In the movie it seems to be a forest as the sandbox in the backyard had a sink hole leading behind the backyard into a forest, yet in the stonecutter episode it is shown to be the Nuclear Plant PArknig Lot (took me a while to find a picture):

    http://i43.tinypic.com/2aiix3n.jpg

Now unless its like Disneys parking lot (its freaking everywhere) chances are the plant is behind the simpsons house but once again that changes from episode to episode, heres a picture with the cool brown house next to the simpsons as well as houses clearly behind the simpsons. From the episode the day the Earth stood cool

Fun fact the Sea Captains houseboat also came in the simpsons movie, while lisa was canvasing in her neighborhood chances are it was on a river or stream but still it was located within the simpsons neighborhood, other episodes its within squidport or the sea (makes no sense)

In Bart the mother, lisa says Bart is playing at Milhouses' which causes Homer to yell out the kitchen window to Milhouse, of course milhouse responds however given the general direction and the length of soundwave i would hypothesize that the van houten residence is somewhere behind the simpsons residence.

final point besides Flanders house being next to the simpsons, the geography of Springfield and thus that of Evergreen Terrace changes from episode to episode, my suggestion pick an episode and copy it or choose the opening.

Sorry for the geography lesson, and follow your heart tapper.
  • The inconsistencies are very funny, but honestly it's really smart to abandon trying to establish a "canon" like many sci-fi movies do.

Not only does it free up animators to fill in the background without concern, the fans won't be alienated when some butcher like JJ Abrams reboots it and discards everything we know!
  • Thanks someonewashere that was a fun and interesting read. The brown house works next door for me and once I get the powers house I think I'll put it next to it like your picture. According to Simpsons wikia, evergreen terrace has Flanders on 744, Simpsons on 742, and Wiggum on 732, so I have four houses going to the right of the Simpsons then wiggums house accordingly. The rest of my town is a mess from trying to level up asap, but my neighborhood is coming together nicely. Gotta start somewhere
