I'm with you on the upgrade buildings, they definitely aren't my style. I have seen some people do really cool designs with tons of the tall level 5 buildings, but I am trying to keep my town a small town if that makes sense :mrgreen: someplace where I'd enjoy walking and looking around. I keep them all in storage and my Springfield Heights is currently empty, I plan to just use it as a Springfield extension when I need it, rather than making it into a special resort/high class areaBIG positives about Springfield Heights for me though: We got several more generic decorations like palm trees that can be placed on grass, small potted plant, vineyard and the fancy bushes. We got a bunch more land, and most of the non upgrading buildings are cool looking (Incubator Think Tank, Burns Slant Drilling Co, LA Body Works, and Springfield Lake too)so basically, I'm not really into the SH expansion as a whole, so I'm just taking the parts I do like and fitting them into my original idea of my Springfield. Seems like it's just a way to keep people busy between events, and so they filled it with mostly non-essential content

The continuous crafting keep us busy with the game, otherwise long-time players like me would have nothing to do except an occasional event and lvl up.Anyway,after your tall building reaches Lvl 5, you are now given the option to display the buildings in lvl 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5. If you hate the tall buildings blocking the rest of your SF, choose lvl 1 display.For me, among each type of tall buildings, I choose 2x lvl 1, 2x lvl 2... 2x lvl 5 display. Looks cool in my SH, showing variety of buildings.

We can change the look of them to whatever level we want I thought? I have to agree in part that these SH building we upgrade could have been designed better. Especially the car dealership one it is just so way out of scale and the worst of the SH stuff. Modern mansion is tolerable, classic mansion looks nice. And the first two levels of the condos are fairly decent. I think it would be nice if there were multiple variations not just bigger/taller/gaudy versions of the same look. So like sure we have 10 classic mansions as an example but 10 distinctly different looking so it doesn't look like an apartment complex.

I'm not very fond of the SH-upgradable-buildings. They're a bit big and fugly even in their lower level skins, they don't really suit my SF, and most of all they have absolutely nothing to do with the Simpsons. It's like they've escaped from some other game, taken illegal residence, only to multiply like a virus. That's not to say that people haven't made some awesome designs with them, although of what I've seen in neighboureeno towns most just lump them in a pile somewhere for the hidden XP. I suppose that it does give something to do between events, but I've already reached billionaire so there's even less point for me to get ten of the latest Exclusive Resorts.I was hoping that the next stage of SH would've come with some actual Springfield Height shops like Abercrombie & Rich, Get Your Picture on a Rembrandt, The Prodigy Barn, Victors Secret, and Things Unnecessary (picked these from Wookiees great post on tstoaddicts). For future up-dates and events here's hoping they keep it in the Simpsons universe and make the game-play less tedious.

Everything they do doesn't make sense.They release all these resorts which are just... pointless. The old buildings in SH from the first release don't even pay out money or anything. They just sit there. Sure you can store them but then why have them at all? Now we're grinding away but everything needs just that one new craftable. Buildings need the magazine craftables, land needs magazines, various decorations need magazines, what about some variety? Buying new land with something other than magazines would be great.Then you have events where you think they could do something incredible and iconic - like making an entire event around bowling and unlocking the Pin Pal skins and various items but instead we get 'Tap Ball' and 1 Pin Pal skin and that's it. Then you have Halloween, where they could have revolved it around donuts, seeing as there was 20 free donuts per week, we got a Model Donut as an NPC but then nothing else related to that, just a amalgamation of random things. They could have had a whole Halloween event based on the time travelling toaster treehouse of horror episode where various buildings could have been the prizes -- like the Sphinx Homer house, The Boot House and whatever houses they cycled through in that episode, along with the Homer donut head as a skin (to fit in with the donut theme).Idk, nothing they do makes sense anymore and I think I've stopped caring. It is what it is, could be a lot better but it's not. I'm sure someone will take offense to my comment and say something like, "if you don't like it, stop playing" but this is just an observation I've made of a game that I've been playing every single day for 2 years. I can't say that of any other game.

The continuous crafting (and short task times) turns playing the game into a chore. And yeah, I could take it slowly, but then I've got to deal with this garbage that much longer. Or I could ignore it, but you know that's not going to happen. And don't get me started on the SH/Railyard conflicts with each other and EVERY SINGLE EVENT. There are some good things from SH, and I'm enjoying those, but for the most part I wish they'd left it out (or at least stopped with Phase 1).

That's right, it gives some of us something to do. I'm enjoying SH, and my Monorail is something I look forward to each week adding more track. If someone is disturbed by these new additions, and they are disturbed that they don't follow the story line on the Simpson's TV show, then i'd suggest, don't let the swinging doors slam your * too hard on the way out.

I rarely watch the TV show. Jeez! I can read in the forums about what the story line is, and what's what.

this game has no respect for empty space, parks, forests, etc

what they should have done is make 2 of each but have 20 levels to update

While I agree that the buildings are (mostly) eyesores and I'm not a big fan of Springfield heights, I still think it was a good idea that just kind of missed the mark.

Right now my SH is still kind of a garbage dump where I've been stashing unwanted things, but I actually am looking forward to cleaning it up and making a kind of fancy area of town.

Yeah, it's a chore and a grind to crank out so many ugly buildings, but on the other hand, the shops are really well designed and you don't have to keep the eyesores out once you max them out. You can stash them out of the way.

They're trying something new and, I think, for the most part, it's a good idea. It's going to be more worth my time than 'finish it and forget about it' krustyland was.

I just hope they continue to tweak it more like they did with finally giving us the option to pick which level we want the upgraded buildings at.

Again, they missed the mark, but they're trying to give us something different. Let's just hope they make a few more throws to hit closer to what we want and they don't just abandon it like they did krustyland.

I just missed the rail yard myself so I cant comment on it.

SH I've not gottne very far myself. I've honestly lost interest. I only have 1 of the PC.. eventually I'll gt to it BUT it's not High on my list :lol:

Of course, you have to be *completely* leveled up for this to work, so if you did the sensible thing and never upgraded your business centers beyond Level 4 due to the ridiculous number of resources needed to get to Level 5, you're stuck.

For me SH is a pain in the butt. All that micro crafting is just annoying.

Soon as I can get the current SH quest finished, I intend to store everything from SH and never look there again.

ENOUGH WITH THE CRAFTING AREADY - STOPPIT!

My fear is that SH might be the direction the entire game is headed.
Odd items that have nothing to do with the Simpsons.
I don't hate SH itself. I like the land.
I've used some of the odd buildings to build a superhero metropolis.
I just want the content to stay focused on The Simpsons.
