Fed issue when not checking town for a while.

I'm pretty sure it's the glitch. If it's a timezone issue, then how do we account for all the handshakes? People are visiting during that time. They're just not calling feds.

OP is in Eastern Time Zone. If OP works a 16-hour day and arrives home at 3AM, he/she is starting work at 11AM. At that point, it's 6PM in Europe, and 8AM here on the Pacific Coast. About half of my European 'neighbors' do their visiting in the evening (their time) after supper (dinner?) and of course the Pacific Coasters would have the entire daytime and evening to visit before OP gets home from work.

I strongly feel it's the glitch. The same thing happens to me, often. When I log in at 6AM (first clean-up of my day), it's already 2PM over there (points helpfully at Europe), and yet I have no Feds. Zero. Zip. Nada. LOADS of handshakes, though. Once in a while, it will be packed with feds. But rarely.

Throughout the day, even from my feeders, I'll go to visit my main town from a feeder, and see the maximum limit is already reached. I go back to my town and there are very few Feds, if any at all. And loads of handshakes from friends, who must have seen the maximum limit popup.

Hmmmm, this is definitely odd. Are we positive that feds don't "expire" after a certain amount of time? Perhaps the glitch is that they aren't supposed to, but do anyway?

They don't. I have one teensy little feeder town that nobody is linked to except my son's town. Since it only gets 3 feds per day, i don't need to clean the feeder out until a week or so has passed. Eventually I get the max-Feds limit message, and need to go in and smoosh 'em all. But they don't expire. :shock:

I'm wondering this as well. Got a notification at 3:00 am that a friend left feds. Checked at 8:00 am and I still have yet to find them after multiple device restarted and KL visits. Had a single handshake this am.

Normally my town is full of feds when I wake up...

Edit: I don't have a siren going either

I never have feds when I do my first clear in the morning. A lot of handshakes though.

The only issue is the clock starts counting down with the last tap, not the first tap.

It's not visible until the last tap, but it starts counting down with the first tap. I've often gone through my list and done one tap per neighbor, then finished up later, and all the timers will say 16 hours (or however long) instead of 24.

I was thinking maybe something like that was happening.... It seems like I'm Not the only one with issues with this when a lot of time Has lapsed since checking my town. If that is the case that is pretty lame, ea. but I supposed it's better then the harp of death...

The only reason I disagree with that is because I get into work at 10am eastern time and get home from work at either 2 or 4am depending. That is a huge chunk of most time zones morning and bed times.

Thank you annettemarc this explains the time zone thing perfectly!

Same issue. No Feds after a long workday without checking but tons of handshakes. If I visit my A town with a feeder, it's teeming with Feds.

Have to force close to reset, which seems to work from that point until a big lapse in logins, but I still don't get the Feds which previously were there but somehow invisible to me.

I can leave my feeder towns for days without this issue, though, so I don't know what's going on. I'm losing gifts.
