Everything the previous poster said. Those are the main benefits I've found. Sort of a do-over. :)
Plus, think of a feeder town as a 100% reliable "friend/neighbor" who will always visit you and give you valentines, and whom you can always visit to tap their valentines, knowing for certain that there will always be something to tap. Same goes for gremlins at Halloween, and gift cards at Christmas.
