Has Anyone Experienced this Kind of Freezing???

I have a similar problem with my game, and it's been happening ever since Gil popped up. I can get into the game relatively simple (although for the last month I've gone straight into the no connection page, it's fine after that), but it moves about very slowly, doesn't always show handshakes, stops notifications and very soon just crashes.

I'll uninstall/reinstall in the morning, but it won't be a memory or space issue, it's a new iPad.
