HELP **Known fixes** Harp/Noise loop/crashing/not loading/can't connect to server

Good to know! How long did it take you to get back in? I got harped for the first time a few days ago as well and I've been in fear ever since of getting it again. I also have an iPad 2.

I was out for about 4 days, only took me about 10-15 mins to get back into my town. This is the first bug/glitch/curse that I've encountered since I started playing TSTO back when it re launched in 2012. I tried fixing it on my iPhone 4 and my dads new iPad but that didn't help. Bt yeah, the fix does work on iPad 2, just gotta keep at it.

Me, too. I thought the iPad 2 was immune. Haven't had a single problem and I started playing at the start of October. I am not happy being part of the glitchy crowd (hehehe see what I did there? Glitchy---cliquey....I'm so funny har har lol).

I did try to fix it myself but didn't give it too hard of a try. I just sent an SOS out and was cured in a couple of hours.

Any help on getting my main quests back they seem to have just randomly stopped after the checkups :(

No idea about that aside from the usual make sure everyone if free log in log out etc. If that doesn't work then I think it's a wait for EA issue :( :(

Ok, so I have gone through these steps and my iPad 3 is sitting there with the Harp of Death sounding - am I on the right track, will it eventually login to my Springfield? I also tried the logging in as anon, playing until you can go to the other Springfield, then logging in but that did not work.

I have completed these steps:

:arrow: What to do:
Go to Settings ->Auto lock ->; and change the setting to NEVER
Close down all applications running in the background by double clicking the home button, holding down and pressing (-) on everything that is open
Plug in your iPad / iPhone so it doesn’t run out of power mid fix
Open the Simpsons tapped out app
Log into origin
Load the game
WAIT for the game to start, this can sometimes be instant and sometimes take up to three hours/ sometimes its instant. However long it takes don’t touch the phone or get fed up and close the app it WILL work eventually.

SOOOOOO bummed, have put so much time (and real world $) into building my Springfield - I've also got 5+ million Simpson money in my account, and a bunch of donuts, too. Woooooe is me! (Is there a 12 step program for this yet?)

UPDATE: Didn't work, eventually timed out, when I tried to restart, same old harp of death...... BTW - this issue started yesterday afternoon, when I started up the app, it downloaded '58 of 58 updates' and then the harp started playing when I tapped to enter game. SO OK YOU SOFTWARE WIZARDS - PLEASE FIX WHATEVER YOU HAVE DONE THAT BROKE MY SPRINGFIELD.

FINALLY!!! After about a dozen attempts to vanquish the dreaded Harp of Death, finally success! Seems that it was downloading the 'free' Fruit-Bat Signal that caused the problem. Sure hope EA fixes this glitch, it was very annoying. I'm really glad that my Springfield is back!

It should do eventually you just have to wait ( I turn the sound off :). )

If it crashes out and you get a can not connect to server issue then try closing all program's and rebooting the device then trying again. May take a long time or a few attempts but it should work in the end. If not the iPhone 5 - same method seems to always break it.

Has there been any word if EA is even attempting to fix this problem? I have an ipod touch 4th gen and its getting annoying that I harp glitch EVERY TIME I reach a bonus level.
