I had a problem similar to yours. I bought doughnuts for my girlfriend as a surprise and then tried to buy myself some. It wouldn't let me by the second set of doughnuts because my credit card company suspected fraud and put a hold on my card. After about an hour my credit card company called to confirm the purchase and everything worked out okay after that. Not sure if this is what is going on with you, but may be something similar.
