What if he has a lot of friends? What if he also wants to say goodbye to acquaintances? What would be the purpose doing all that privately?

This is what is really funny about Josh making this thread, thinking "Oh if Emmcee1 is going to draw attention towards himself, just by saying goodbye, than so can I." EmmCee1 had no problem with establishing some lasting connections. He didn't stick around just to troll people. He made friends. That's just something Josh never learned how to do. So of course he thinks EmmCee just did it for attention. Saying goodbye for the sake of letting his friends know that he is gone and that he'll miss them, just doesn't compute in a troll brain, because for a troll, a forum like this serves a completely different function.

And even if EmmCee did it for the attention, so what? Look at the birthday threads. Look at the milestone post threads. We're all trying to bring attention to stuff. Why is this any different? Why does this matter you? Why should he have to hide his announcements that he's leaving, just to spare some people's annoyance with the cliche of it? At least it's not negative attention which is exactly what all the complaining about attention is. Real talk.
