House farming? Come on... Be serious...

I don't have a problem with SF's that have a house farm somewhere to generate income. There are ways to do it where it doesn't ruin the look of your town, even if you choose not to do a design with it. I've got a farm, but it's all the way over to the far right, stretched out on an arm with unpurchased land in between it. The rest of my SF is designed as a real town.

However, when I see towns that are pretty much nothing but messy house farms, I do wonder what the point of playing is? I've never deleted anyone for it, but I do wonder why they do it.
