Once I maxed out the SH-currency producing buildings I noticed a decrease in some of the lag. I still have SH buildings that have an upgrade symbol above them though,

Have only noticed it when visiting friends. Used to take 20 mins to visit 100, now takes over an hour.

Was playing on an iPad2 and an iPhone 4s and both had pretty bad lag, especially when tapping the campfire.

Will try to store all the SH buildings on my second town to see how it goes. It's on the iPad2.

I did upgrade to a 6s+ and I'm glad to say it plays nice and quick. :) But the cost to upgrade is not for the faint of heart.
