Something else I've noticed that seems odd about this fighting is the payout. 1 fighter -on 1 monster pays out 150 film. 2 fighters on 1 monster only pays 210 film instead of double. So if you have a lot of monster in your town, assign 1 on 1 first.

Actually that may not be the best stragey. Monsters generate 2 per hour max 10 but if you dont fight them, you dont lose them. If you have 4 fighters and can assign them to double team monsters, any extra monsters will still be availabe when the 4 hours are up. It may seem illogical to take the two 210 points first instead of four 150 but you do better in the long run.

You are probably right with this. I woke up to find 6 new monsters in my town yesterday(up late the night before and should have been 2) and panicked somewhat thinking with 5 fighters I wouldn't get caught up. The spawn rate seems to be off in my town. Anyway, I assigned the 5 fighters to the single monsters and saved the 2 fighter one for later. Either way it would have worked out because the next spawn was 2 like it's supposed to be.

I woke up had 6 then 10 mins later I had 8 timers off in my town usally I only have 4 in the morning.
  • Always fight single matched monsters first. This clears the space for more monsters to spawn.
But never fight a duo match solo, that's just giving bonus film away.
  • sorry for the repetition. This new board sucks to read and it's difficult to search. I know the answer is here but could someone explain it anew?

I wake up and I can fight like 6 monsters. The rest of the day, 2
  • Monsters spawn at a preset rate ... something like 2 monsters every 4 hours ... that's why when you wake up in the morning (presuming you don't get up at 2 a.m. to play tapped out) more monsters than usual are there for you to attack.

I don't know what the algorithm is but I assume there is a similar rule that determines how often you get the higher power monsters where you use 2 fighters at the same time.

Check out the strategy threads ... I'm pretty sure this stuff is spelled out fairly clearly.
